Splatoon 3 update 4.0.0 has been released ahead of the start of Sizzle Season on Thursday 1st June. It includes all of the data needed for Sizzle Season’s new stage, weapons and music, but there’s also some shakeups to Splatoon 3’s meta and weapon balance.
Sizzle Season will add a new battle stage called Barnacle & Dime, as well as revive Splatoon 2’s Humpback Pump Track. It also adds two new main weapons, the powerful Painbrush and the multi-shot S-BLAST ’92, with nine new loadouts for existing weapons. Fans of Salmon Run will get to play Jammin’ Salmno Junction, and there’s 11 new Tableturh Battle cards.
Most importantly there’s a new musical sensation in town: Yoko & the Gold Bazookas. The trombonist has become an instant favourite with Splatoon fans.
Before Sizzle Season gets underway, there’s all of the balance changes to the existing weapons. In particular Splatana Stamper has been hammered with a nerf via increased ink consumption, while there’s a slight buff to the Octobrush.
