Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 Mega is nearing to a close, and Epic just confirmed the switch from a seasonal Japanese theme to jungles for Season 3 with a short teaser trailer. Based on the description in the tweet, it also sounds like the official name for the season will be “Wilds.”
This is only a 10-second teaser for the full season trailer, but it does confirm the jungle biome that leaked last week along with a look at how it will integrate into the map. From what we can tell there is no geological explanation for this phenomenon, but we have a jungle that has appeared out of an abrupt rift in the ground none-the-less. While there aren’t any landmarks in the trailer that point to a location for this new jungle, it should be obvious enough to Fortnite players.
There have been rumbles and cracks in the ground at the center of the map for at least the past week. Epic also typically adds major Points of Interest in the center area of the map, and this appears to be the case once again. It wouldn’t be the first time seeing a geographic feature like this either. Those who were around for Chapter 1 Season 4 back in early 2018 should remember the similar landmark Dusty Divot.

The Chapter 4 Season 3 teaser trailer also lends more credibility to the Fortnite leaks from last week that revealed key art for the season. The image revealed the ability to slide on vines much like the grind rails in the current season, new Battle Pass skins including Optimus Prime, and new weapons.
