AKIBA’S TRIP and Octopath Traveler developer Acquire have announced twin-stick shooter XALADIA: Rise of the Space Pirates X2 for PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC (Steam). It will launch this fall as the company’s first self-published title worldwide with English, French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese language options.

“Our new self-publishing unit is filled with the brightest young game development minds in Japan designing under the tutelage of Acquire’s award-winning creative team,” said Acquire president Takuma Endo in a press release. “XALADIA completely modernizes the classic twin-stick shooter and is just the beginning for our newly formed team. We look forward to revealing more projects very soon.”
