Gamers are mere days away from an onslaught of gaming showcases featuring new announcements, trailers and gameplay for some of the most anticipated titles of this year and beyond.
On Thursday, June 8 at 12 PM PT, the Summer Game Fest presentation will feature two hours worth of reveals and updates from over forty publishers, with the Day of the Devs broadcast and Devolver Direct going down immediately afterwards as both plan to highlight plenty of upcoming indie games. While several other smaller showcases will be streamed over the following couple days, the next major conference is the Xbox Games Showcase on June 11 at 10 AM PT, which will lead directly into a dedicated Starfield Direct followed by the PC Gaming Show later that afternoon. Until recently, June 12’s only gaming show was the Ubisoft Forward at 10 AM PT, but there’s one more publisher who wants to throw their hat into the ring on this extended weekend of gaming announcements.
Fresh off of the well-received release of Street Fighter 6, Capcom has announced that they will be hosting their own showcase on June 12 at 3 PM PT over on their official Twitch and YouTube channels. The event will last approximately 35 minutes in addition to a pre-show starting at 2:30 PM PT. While Capcom doesn’t specifically tease any games that will be appearing during the livestream, and there’s always the potential for unexpected reveals, there are at least a few titles that fans can expect to see. Exoprimal, the PvPvE dinosaur hunting title, is set to launch next month on July 14, so the showcase represents one of the last opportunities to push the game before it is released upon the masses like a wave of hungry velociraptors.
