If you're shopping on a strict budget for a new laptop, brand-new MacBooks will almost always be excluded due to their high prices. Apple products in general are notoriously expensive--and it’s uncommon to see them with steeply discounted price tags. That’s not the case today, however, as you can pick up a refurbished MacBook Air for just $250. There are a few caveats to the deal, but you’ll definitely want to take a closer look if you’re in the market for a solid laptop for school, work, or anything in between.
In case the price didn’t immediately give it away, this MacBook Air isn’t the latest model. Instead, it’s a refurbished unit from 2015. Yes, that's pretty darn old for a laptop. But considering Apple makes products that are built to last (and it’s been given new life through the refurbishing process), this might not be a bad pick if you're looking for a laptop for work or school.
It has a «B» rating, which StackCommerce describes as such: «It may have light scuffing on the bevel/case or light scratches/dents on the body.»
Featuring up to twelve hours of battery life, a 128GB SSD, Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 13.3-inch display, the specs aren't bad for a laptop from 2015.
All purchases come with a 30-day parts and labor warranty and returns are accepted within 30 days of shipment. You can add an optional two-year warranty to your order for $36.
If you want a MacBook Air and budget isn't a concern, the brand-new MacBook Air 15-inch models release on June 13. The 2023 MacBook Air starts at $1,300 and is available to preorder now. And if you want to meet in the middle of these prices, the 2020 MacBook Air with M1 processor is on sale for $800 at Amazon.
