Guerrilla Games has created a Lance Reddick memorial in Horizon: Forbidden West.
The actor, who played the role of Sylens in the Horizon series, passed away at his home in Los Angeles in March at the age of 60.
While it wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes for Horizon Forbidden West’s latest update, Guerrilla confirmed the addition of the in-game tribute to Reddick on Friday.

“In honor of Lance Reddick, we created a memorial to commemorate the profound impact he had on us all,” the studio said.
“Thank you, Lance, for everything you brought to the role of Sylens: your gravitas, energy, wisdom and more. An incomparable talent and friend. We miss you terribly.”
The memorial can be found in the game’s Burning Shores expansion, which was released in April.
The conclusion to the DLC suggested Guerrilla planned for Reddick’s character to have a significant role in the next Horizon game, although it’s unclear if this will be the case or not.

The actor was also well known in the gaming world for playing Commander Zavala in Bungie’s Destiny franchise.
Following his passing, the studio confirmed Reddick had already recorded dialogue for future content it planned to release.
Bungie said it would “honor his presence through his performances yet to come in the game”.
