A Spider-Man: No Way Home behind-the-scenes featurette shows a cult alternate black costume. No Way Home was the MCU's smash hit of 2021. Since its release last December, the film has gained huge amounts of acclaim from both audiences and critics alike, and has broken numerous box office records. The film is the third installment in the MCU's standalone Spider-Man films, and follows the titular web-slinger (Tom Holland) as he must contend with characters from other universes (both The Amazing Spider-Man series and Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy) after a spell performed by Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) goes wrong.
With so many Peter Parkers, No Way Home provided ample opportunity for a wide variety of Spider-Man costumes onscreen. Holland's version has worn several different outfits during his time in the MCU, ranging from his homemade suit to the Iron Spider costume seen in Avengers: Infinity War. No Way Home added more suits to the franchise, most notably a black-and-gold costume Holland's Peter wears as he attempts to track down the multiverse villains. It would appear there were even more variations considered, but ultimately scrapped.

A recent behind the scenes featurette for Spider-Man: No Way Home has been shared by YouTube channel DavidATS, and gives an in-depth look at all of the different Spider-Man costumes featured in the film. While costume designer Sanja Milkovic describes the intricate process of what actually goes into creating a Spider-Man mask, a shot of Holland can be seen in a black Spider-Man costume. Check out the video below, with the alternate costume appearing around the 2:34 mark.
