Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has been a big hit, smashing sales figures and attracting vast numbers of new adherents to the Imperial Truth. Developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Entertainment have been taking your feedback and released a Q&A outlining what the future holds for the gritty shooter.
After compiling a list of the most popular requests, some interesting things are under consideration for future patches. The top priority remains connectivity issues, with the developer announcing a ramping up of server capacity. AI bots will be slightly less passive during the campaign, and Veteran difficulty will be dialled back just a hair.
On the multiplayer front, Focus says that Chaos Space Marines Legions will remain locked to a specific class. While there are plans for additional customization options, these heretics just won't be as modular as the Loyalists ultimately. New classes are under consideration (Apothecary and Techmarine, please), as are new melee weapons, but there are no promises. Finally, a big round of balancing is planned, particularly aimed at overrepresenting the Bulwark and Heavy classes and the clearly OP Shock Grenades. Melee will likely get a buff, and the Assault class will be tweaked.
