Sony and LeBron James Join Forces with Limited Edition PS5 Accessories | Push Square
Well, we weren't expecting this today. Or any other day, really, but we are where we are. Sony has announced a collaboration with NBA athlete and MultiVersus character LeBron James, revealing a unique set of limited edition accessories for PS5.
Designed by LeBron James himself, you'll soon be able to buy a matching DualSense controller and PS5 console cover. These sport colourful, graffiti-like designs and symbols on a black backdrop — they actually look pretty neat.
The controller and console cover will be available to pre-order via PlayStation's Direct online store in select territories. Unfortunately there are no further details at this stage, like a price, release date, or in which countries it'll be available, but we'll of course let you know once we know.
This unusual announcement kicks off a new initiative called PlayStation Playmakers. PlayStation Playmakers are a selection of pop culture figures across various trades and disciplines that will effectively be ambassadors for the brand. LeBron James is one of them, and others include country singer Jimmie Allen, comedian and actor King Bach, pro-BMX athlete Nigel Sylvester, and more. You can read more about that through here.
