June has been a busy month for Sonic the Hedgehog fans, as SEGA is finally giving them the first proper look at the next mainline title in the franchise, Sonic Frontiers. It's also looking to be one of the most ambitious, as this will be the first time the series is implementing an open-world setting, with the genre leap being compared to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. His contributions to the series include the Archie Sonic Comics, the currently ongoing IDW Sonic Comics, and even a few episodes of the Sonic Boom cartoon. For Sonic Frontiers, his role has been detailed by Sonic Team in a recent interview with Game Informer.
