Sonic fans can't believe how difficult Frontiers' Final Horizon update is, with players particularly struggling with the trial towers and their lack of checkpoints.
Nearly a whole year after Sonic Frontiers' initial launch, Sonic Team has been given a second chance at the game's finale with the Final Horizon, a free update to the game that not only changes the final few hours of the game and gives Sonic a brand-new version of his most powerful form, but also lets you play as Tails, Amy, and Knuckles for the first time in a mainline entry in a very long time.

So far, impressions of the free update have been positive and it seems like Sonic fans are having a blast getting to play as the rest of the cast, but there's one thing about the Final Horizon that has surprised everyone - its difficulty. Aside from annoying pinball minigames with stupidly high score requirements, one of the biggest complaints about Frontiers at launch was how easy it was, especially once you'd levelled up Sonic.
Well, it seems that Sonic Team took all those complaints personally and decided to give everyone exactly what they were asking for, as lots of Sonic fans are taking to social media to point out how surprisingly difficult it is. Over on the Sonic Frontiers subreddit, several players have shared memes about how tough they're finding it, with Redditor SonicFanatic67 saying, "God damn, Kishimoto seriously took offence to people calling his game too easy. I love the challenge, but god DAMN".
