Coffee Stain Publishing and developer Lavapotion will release turn-based strategy RPG Songs of Conquest for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series this winter, followed by iOS and Android in summer 2025, the companies announced. An unknown platform, which is likely either Switch or the successor to Switch, will follow in winter 2025.
Songs of Conquest first launched in Early Access for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG on May 10, 2022, followed by a full release on May 20, 2024.
The companies also announced the paid downloadable content “Vanir” will launch this winter, followed by “Roots” in summer 2025, and another paid downloadable content featuring a new faction in winter 2025. “Vanir” will add a new faction, biome, and an array of new units and Wielders.
Here are the details:
“New factions have been the most requested feature from our players ever since we’ve entered Early Access,” said Lavapotion CEO and founder Magnus Alm in a press release. “While our original plan was to release a large expansion next year that would feature two new factions and a sweeping new campaign, we chose to listen to our players and change our plans to release more content sooner, starting with the release of the ‘Vanir’ downloadable content this winter. As developing new factions takes a lot of time, we’ve chosen to prioritize the new faction and postpone the release of our ‘Rise Eternal’ story downloadable content to a later date. We look forward to seeing our players join us in the Bleak East!”
