"The Worst Skin I Have Seen": Fortnite Fans Agree The New Meowscles Skin Is Downright Disturbing
The newest Meowdas skin for has been teased and fans are appalled and disappointed. The battle royale MMO is known for its vivid color use and memorable, often downright ridiculous designs. Among the most popular and strange-looking of skin designs is Meowscles, a muscular man with a cat's head.
The next chapter was teased last week, hinting at a Meowscles and Midas mashup, and many fans were excited at the idea of the muscular Meowscles wearing Midas' dapper outfit. However, a new teaser image has been revealed of what the skin will look like, and it's not living up to fans' expectations.
In a Reddit post titled "" user These_Maintenance_97/Reddit shares a higher-quality version of the upcoming skin. Originally shown by Shiina on X, the image revealsa lackluster effort to remix the two fan-favorite skins into a new «remix» skin that fails to capture the charm of either design.
The fan community was hesitantly optimistic when the game leaked the coming Meowscles and Midas mashup last week. The actual design scheduled to come out is not what fans imagined it, with many criticizing it as being downright terrible. Redditor BinDarRedDat99 says, "" while Acrobatic_Badger_122 notes that "" Even fans of Meowscles are finding this remix to be uncomfortable to look at since it seems to dip too far into the Uncanny Valley.
Within 24 hours, Epic has temporarily pulled the Caffeinated Emote after fan backlash about the speed of the Sabrina Carpenter song ruining the emote.
The latter comment reflects the general consensus among fans, that Epic Games is failing to deliver any new and exciting designs. Both Meowscles and Midas already have so many skins that they're «old news,» and the community would prefer to see something brand new instead of more rehashes of existing content.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that the «Meowdas» skin (as fans are calling it) is unique in its negative reception. The X post showcasing images of the latest battle pass was met with heavy critiques
