Netflix has unveiled the release date window for, the upcoming fourth entry into the Fear Street film series.
Fear Street: Prom Queen will be set in 1988 and is set between the first three installments: Fear Street Part One: 1994, Fear Street Part Two: 1978, and Fear Street Part Three: 1666. All three movies, based on R. L. Stine‘s book series of the same name, arrived on Netflix in July of 2021.
Matt Palmer (Calibre) directed Fear Street: Prom Queen, based on Stine’s 1992 book The Prom Queen. It marks the first time the franchise has adapted a particular book by Stine.
The newly released poster teases that the upcoming feature will be released sometime in 2025. Palmer co-wrote the script for Fear Street: Prom Queen with Donald McLeary.
Fear Street: Prom Queen stars India Fowler (The Nevers), Suzanna Son (The Idol), Fina Strazza (Above the Shadows), David Iacono (The Summer I Turned Pretty), Ella Rubin (The Idea of You), Chris Klein (Sweet Magnolias), Lili Taylor (Outer Range), and Katherine Waterston (The End We Start From).

The official synopsis for Fear Street: Prom Queen reads: “In this next installment of the blood-soaked Fear Street franchise, prom season at Shadyside High is underway and the school’s wolfpack of It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown. But when a gutsy outsider is unexpectedly nominated to the court, and the other girls start mysteriously disappearing, the class of ’88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night.”
The film’s producers include Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and Kori Adelson.
The first three installments, directed by Leigh Janiak, are available to stream on Netflix. Fear Street: Prom Queen hits the streamer in 2025.
