Apple TV+ has unveiled the release date for Season 4, with the spin-off — titled Side Quest — also on the way. The announcement comes after the third season of the hit comedy concluded nearly two years ago.

Charlie Day, Megan Ganz, and Rob McElhenney created Mythic Quest, with McElhenney also starring. The workplace comedy, which premiered in 2020, centers on the team behind the fictional video game studio that created the MMORPG Mythic Quest.

McElhenney stars as Mythic Quest creator and creative director Ian Grimm. He is joined by Charlotte Nicdao as Poppy Liwanag, David Hornsby as David Brittlesbee, Danny Pudi as Brad Bakshi, Ashly Burch as Rachel, Imani Hakim as Dana Bryant, Jessie Ennis as Jo, and Naomi Ekperigin as Carol.

The fourth season of Mythic Quest will arrive on Apple TV+ with two episodes on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. It will be followed by one new episode weekly through March 26.

Per the synopsis, Season 4 brings the characters “under the same fluorescent office lights as the reunited team at Mythic Quest confronts new challenges amongst a changing video game landscape as stars rise, egos clash, relationships bloom, and everyone tries to have a little more work work life balance.”

After the Season 4 finale, the anthology series Side Quest will be debuting on March 26 with all four episodes. McElhenney will also star alongside Anna Konkle, Derek Waters, William Stanford Davis, Bria Henderson, Rome Flynn, Leonard Robinson, Gary Kraus, Annamarie Kasper, Esai Morales, Shalta Grant, and more.

“An expansion of the Mythic Quest universe, Side Quest explores the lives of employees, players, and fans who are impacted by the game in an anthology format,” the official synopsis reads.

Mythic Quest Season 4 hits Apple TV+ on January 29, with Side Quest arriving on March 26. The first three seasons of Mythic Quest are available to stream on the platform.
