A recent Sly Cooper domain update amidst rumours of a new game has got fans of the series hoping once more.
It's not easy being a Sly Cooper fan. There's a new rumour spread about a fifth entry in the series every couple of months, and it never seems to amount to anything more than disappointment. Recently, however, the rumours of a new game have been heating up considerably, with several insiders reporting that a new game will be announced later this year, but that it won't be developed by Sucker Punch.

Although this might be like deja vu for members of the Sly Cooper community, a recent domain update to the Sly Cooper website has given the recent rumours some more credibility. As posted on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, the Sly Cooper domain was updated on March 4, just a few days ago and around the time when rumours of a new game started to heat up.
The domain update on whois show that the organisation behind the website is Sucker Punch Productions, which confirms that it's the official domain and not just some fansite. Interestingly, the updated domain doesn't actually work right now and seems to be a dead link that was used for older games in the series.
The closest thing to a Sly Cooper website that there is right now is a page on the Sucker Punch website that talks about the Sly Cooper trilogy, so the fact that the domain has recently been updated despite being a currently unused site does make it seem like something is in the works.
As is the case with all domain updates, there's also a chance it's simply being done to keep a hold of the website for future use, as domain updates are quite commonly done without too much coming
