A new video edits Robert Pattinson's emo eye shadow from The Batman onto a number of different Caped Crusader iterations. Boasting some impressive box office numbers both domestically and globally, Matt Reeves' detective-noir take on the classic comic book hero in The Batman has become a box office hit with audiences around the world. The film sees Pattinson star as Bruce Wayne, and follows him through his second year as Batman, drawing inspiration from a number of comics such as The Long Halloween and Year One. Zoë Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell and Paul Dano all make up The Batman's star-studded supporting cast.

The Batman takes place outside of the DCEU continuity, ultimately giving Reeves more wiggle room to explore the character how he chose. One small detail that many were quick to pick up on was Batman's black eye shadow, which is used to conceal his eyes within the darkness of his cowl. However, the eye shadow was also shown a number of times throughout the film after Wayne had removed the mask, leading fans to dub Pattinson's Wayne as «Emo» Batman.
