A small Pokémon Legends: Arceus patch fixes a bug with receiving the shiny charm. The shiny charm has been a series staple for several generations, and is usually the reward the player receives once the Pokédex is complete. Pokémon Legends: Arceus is no exception to this.
Getting the shiny charm in Pokémon Legends: Arceus can be a time-consuming task. Players have to not only catch all of the Pokémon in the Hisui region, they also have to fill out all of the Pokédex entries for each Pokémon. But the reward for meeting these requirements is worth the effort, as it makes hunting shiny Pokémon even easier. The shiny charm is just one way to increase the rates of encountering shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, as filling out Pokédex entries also increases the shiny odds for each Pokémon. So completing the Pokédex and receiving the shiny charm will both drastically increase the odds for encountering various shiny Pokémon.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus version 1.1.1 (via ComicBook) fixed a bug that prevented players from receiving the shiny charm from professor Laventon upon completing the Pokédex. The exact details of this bug aren’t fully known, but not being able to receive the shiny charm for all of the hard work required to obtain it would be an annoyance to players who have put in that effort. But now that this bug is fixed, players don’t need to worry that Laventon won’t give them the reward that they’ve earned.
