Although the hype around The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim was very real up to its initial release back in 2011, practically nobody expected it to become the phenomenon that it has, enjoying more than a decade being in the gaming limelight. As one of the best roleplaying games ever for PC, Bethesda's epic continues to be a successful entry in the long-running series, despite it being a bit of a buggy mess. As a result, many fans don't just play the game as is, as there are plenty of custom mods that can make the experience better, and some people actually recreate elements of the game in real life.
Reddit user t_sekuloski recently posted a picture of themselves holding a Skyrim Staff of Destruction that they'd created themselves by hand carving it out of beech wood. Replying to a number of comments, t_sekulosk revealed that the project took 12 hours to complete and the result weighs about 1.5 kg. The completed item is a pretty impressive looking facsimile of one of the game's staves, with some intricate carving for added detail.

Mages of Tamriel use a variety of staves in Skyrim which offer up a number of spells, including the aforementioned destruction spell, thanks to their different enchantments, such as lightning, explosive fireballs, and freezing winds. Other staves wield alteration spells, which can reanimate dead bodies or summon creatures, and there are also restoration staves that can heal their targets.
Unsurprisingly, then, a few people in the Reddit thread have jokingly suggested that t_sekuloski join the College of Winterhold. This is also not the first time the user has made something like this. A couple of months ago, they made their own Skyrim
