Announced during Ubisoft Forward, Skull and Bones, Ubisoft's upcoming pirate adventure game, is getting a closed beta later this year. The closed beta will run from August 25-28 and you can register on the game's official website.
The closed beta was announced as part of a sea shanty video, which features an extended look at Skull and Bones. The trailer is mainly focused on the pirate vibes, showing off a variety of different locales as well as plenty of ship sailing. It concludes with a massive ship battle, with over a dozen pirate ships converging into a single area, resulting in mayhem.
Ubisoft didn't reveal much information about what content will be available during the closed beta, but the website does allow you to register on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC. Skull and Bones has a focus on multiplayer pirate ship action, so can likely expect that at a minimum.
Skull and Bones has had a rough development, having been delayed several times since it was originally revealed, with the most recent delay moving it out of 2023, without an official release date.
