@colonelkilgore I'd say that Nier: Automata is the better game. But if you loved Nier: Automata, then you'll likely love Nier: Replicant too.
One thing to note is that Nier was originally a much older game, so the locations in Replicant won't be as expansive as the ones in Automata. But the combat in the Replicant remaster has been updated to be more in line with the fluidity of Automata, and the story is full of Yoko Taro's magic and weirdness.
