The Ice Age franchise has been around since 2002. Twenty years after the original movie came out, the series is still going strong with a new installment, The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild. Starring Simon Pegg reprising his role as Buck Wild from the previous movies, this fresh entry sees Buck go on a daring adventure into the Dinosaur World.
Screen Rant spoke to Pegg to discuss his return to the Ice Age property, updates about the Galaxy Quest TV show, and much more.

I'm excited about this movie. It's been a six-year hiatus, and you are back as Buck Wild. But let's talk about the cool part: you get the title treatment. How did you react to that?
Simon Pegg: Well, it's a bad time, isn't it? No, I've jokingly said this to Lori Forte, the producer, over the years of having played Buck. Because I always have such fun, and I get to the end of the session, and I'm super caffeinated with him. I always say, «Please, can we do more with Buck? Can we have a Buck movie or whatever?»
I feel very lucky that little dream came true for me.
How would you say that this movie compares to Ice Age movies of the past? Because I think what's interesting is that people have been around Ice Age since 2002, so people of all ages love it.
Simon Pegg: Yeah, I took my first job in Ice Age in 2009, because my wife was pregnant and I wanted to film that I could watch with my new child. And she has grown up with those movies, so it's kind of wonderful that they're continuing.
