With the launch of Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, it's time for Magic The Gathering Arena to refresh its Mastery Pass once more. Over 90 levels, you can unlock everything from cards and gold, to cosmetics and even a pet fish.

But is it worth buying the full Mastery Pass? And what is the quickest way to unlock it all? Here is everything you need to know about Arena's Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty Mastery Pass.
The Mastery Pass is Magic's version of a Battle Pass, like you might find in Fortnite, Apex Legends, or the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Duel Pass. By completing in-game missions, you can level up the pass, netting you exclusive rewards.
Each Mastery Pass in Arena is tied to the latest premiere set, and includes themed cosmetics, booster packs, and orbs for the 'Mastery Tree', a second tier of unlockable rewards. Easily the most common reward in both the pass and the Mastery Tree are "card styles", which give your cards a new, extended-art style you can't normally find anywhere else.
Mastery Passes only last as long as that set is the latest one. So Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty replaced the previous Innistrad: Crimson Vow Mastery Pass, and Streets of New Capenna will replace Neon Dynasty's when it launches in a few months time.
The easiest way to level up the Arena Mastery Pass is to complete the daily quests listed on the main menu. For instance, a mission to cast 20 white or red spells will reward you with 500 gold and 500 Mastery XP. As long as you have a decent variety of decks to play with, these can be completed in just a few matches and give you a lot of progress on the Mastery Pass.
