Paramount's upcoming Teen Wolf filmhas now been revealed to act as a setup for a future series set within the film's established universe, titled Wolf Pack. The original series, loosely based on the 1985 film of the same name, aired on MTV and was a huge success for the network, garnering praise for its cast's performances, writing, and its expansive use of supernatural lore, including werewolves, banshees, and even chimeras. The show premiered in June 2011 and ran for six seasons, concluding in September 2017 before its popularity evoked the want for a revival.
Teen Wolf follows teenager Scott McCall after he is bitten by a mysterious animal in his hometown of Beacon Hills and he begins to experience odd changes to his physiology, slowly transforming into a werewolf. The series was headlined by a series of talented cast members, including the likes of Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed, Dylan O'Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden, Colton Haynes, Shelley Henning, and Arden Cho. The upcoming revival film is returning to the aforementioned small town as various supernatural creatures make their return and the returning protagonists must put a stop to them.

In a recent post from the official Paramount+ Twitter account, the streaming service revealed that not only would the film see original Teen Wolf characters returning to the small screen, but would also set up a brand new series in its wake. The upcoming spin-off will be titled Wolf Pack and will be based on the book of the same name written by author Edo van Belkom, which revolves around a small pack of wolf cubs being discovered by a ranger after a forest fire who quickly realizes that they are no ordinary wolves.
