Agents of SHIELDstar Elizabeth Henstridge is hopeful that more fans will find the Marvel show once it moves to Disney+. Well before MCU characters like Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) led their own television shows, Marvel first expanded into TV with the ABC series Agents of SHIELD. Led by fan favorite SHIELD agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), Agents of SHIELD didn't always fit in with MCU canon over the course of its 7-season run, and its place within the MCU remains in question to this day. Nevertheless, it's still an important part of Marvel history.
Agents of SHIELD endured a rockier fan reception in its earliest seasons, but over time, it gradually became a series with a dedicated fanbase. It came to a close in 2020, yet managed to live on through streaming on Netflix. That held until just last week, when Agents of SHIELD, along with the rest of Netflix's Marvel lineup, departed the streaming service to make the jump to Disney+. A total of 7 shows will be available on Disney+ on March 16; at long last, those like SHIELD and Daredevil will be grouped alongside nearly every MCU movie and its recent streaming shows.
