An exciting collaboration between BTS and Garena Free Fire sees the beloved South Korean boy band perform within the mobile battle royale shooter. The digital music video even includes brand-new costumes and emotes, bringing the K-pop sensation's signature flair onto Free Fire's war-torn island. Back in 2020 a BTS music video came to Fortnite, but now the Bangtan Boys are dropping into a totally different battle royale title.
Created by Singapore-based developer Garena, Free Fire is among the most popular mobile battle royale games on the market. A direct competitor to games like PUBG Mobile and Fortnite, the third-person shooter sees players parachute onto an island and scavenge for supplies while facing off against rival gamers. The survivable area of the island gets smaller over time, forcing players into confrontations in closer quarters as the match progresses. The popularity of Free Fire has led to a number of different crossovers, like a November 2021 collaboration with the Netflix series Money Heist. A Free Fire crossover with Assassin's Creedwas recently announced in March, though the game's collaboration with BTS may be its most high-profile team-up yet.

Combining two entertainment juggernauts, Garena Free Fire PH has revealed the in-game BTS music video to YouTube. The video sees a digital version of the band perform the song «Idol,» the lead single from the group's 2018 album Love Yourself: Answer, within Free Fire. Iconography from the gameis present throughout the video, and the Bangtan Boys actually designed in-game costumes and emotes for use in the crossover project.
