Rockstar Games has been bringing players to expansive and realistic cities for years through Grand Theft Auto. Players have explored the desert areas around San Andreas, the giant skyscrapers of Liberty City, and the vacation destinations of Vice City. Each game has focused on a specific city, and expanded each one greatly over the years.
