Katie Cassidy has expressed an interest in returning to the Arrowverse. The actress had starred in the hit CW series Arrow for the majority of eight seasons, which was the beginning of a shared television universe of DC heroes leading to many spinoffs including The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow. Although Arrow ended its run back in January 2020, the world has continued to expand in its spinoffs leading to an open door of possibilities for Cassidy to return.
Cassidy played Laurel Lance, an attorney and love interest of Oliver Queen/The Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), who eventually became the superhero known as Black Canary. Although Cassidy's Lance was killed off back in season 4, she returned to play her Earth-Two doppelgänger, initially known as Black Siren, debuting on The Flash, who started as a villain but would later become an ally of The Green Arrow. A backdoor pilot known as Green Arrow & the Canaries, starring Cassidy, was filmed and aired before the Arrow finale, but The CW decided to not pick up the project. So since the character is technically still alive, Cassidy has not ruled out the possibility of playing Laurel Lance again in the future.

Cassidy also respectfully commented on how Green Arrow & the Canaries was basically "milking the cow," but still did not regret being a part of the proposed spinoff. Read her response below:
