Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star Benedict Wong reveals he would love to cross paths with the X-Men in the MCU. Set to explore the multiversal fallout of last year's Spider-Man: No Way Home, the highly anticipated sequel to 2016's Doctor Strange will finally land in theaters next week. Benedict Cumberbatch reprises his role as the Master of Mystic Arts, Dr. Stephen Strange, as the hero crosses paths with Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff and MCU newcomer Xochitl Gomez, who will make her debut as America Chavez. Wong will also reprise his role as Strange's friend and the current Sorcerer Supreme, Wong.
As audiences gear up to witness the chaos that will unfold within Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' 126-minute run time, much of what can be expected still remains a mystery. With director Sam Raimi at the helm, the film looks set to be one of the MCU's darkest installments to date and has been at the center of major speculation in the run-up to its release. A recent Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teaser confirmed that the Illuminati (a council of the world's most powerful beings) will have a presence within the film, seemingly fueling the mass speculation as to who else could appear.

In a recent interview with JOE.ie, Wong is asked who he would like his character to share a scene with in the future, to which he says he would love to work opposite Samuel L. Jackson, who plays the MCU's Nick Fury. He then goes on to say that he would "like to hang out with the X-Men," sharing that he was a big Marvel comics fan when he was younger, with Secret Wars a particular favorite.
