Fans last saw her in the Disney Plus series WandaVision, as she struggled with loss and created the fictional town of Westview. Marvel Studios has now released a new featurette titled «Wanda Returns» that spotlights the connection between the two projects from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The trailers for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness reveal that Benedict Cumberbatch's titular character finds Wanda in the isolated wilderness that she chose to reside in at the end of WandaVision. It almost seems like things pick up where the Disney Plus series left off. The connection seems obvious, and now Marvel Studios is only further confirming it with their latest featurette.

The newly released Doctor Strange 2 featurette begins with the most iconic dialogue from WandaVision, with Paul Bettany's Vision saying, “What is grief, if not love persevering?” The scene that follows is reminiscent of the Scarlet Witch reading through the Darkhold as part of the post-credits scene in WandaVision. That scene is what set the wheels in motion toward the launch of the Multiverse, which has now become the most important factor in Phase 4 of the MCU.
The featurette includes some never before seen footage of Olsen's Wanda from the upcoming film. She is seen returning to Westview, and even meeting her twin boys Billy and Tommy.
