The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild explores new territory for the franchise, but the character Peaches is strangely absent from the film. Manny and Ellie's daughter Peaches made her first appearance in the Ice Age movies at the end of Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, and each subsequent film showed her growing up just a little bit more, leading to the character's marriage to Julian in Ice Age: Collison Course. Yet, in the latest Disney+ addition The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, she and several other characters are noticeably absent.
Buck Wild shifts the focus from the stars of the previous Ice Age movies when Ellie's adopted brothers, the possums Crash and Eddie, decide to set off on their own adventure. Their leaving terrifies Ellie as they are all that remains of her first real family, which is the most important thing in her life. To emphasize its significance, Buck Wild even opens with Ellie narrating how she and Manny built their herd of misfits together. Yet, nowhere in the Disney+ movie does she mention her daughter Peaches.

Peaches and Julian will likely show up again for the upcoming Ice Age 7 movie, at which point
