As you finally reach the end of Dawnshore area, as part of the quest, you'll finally confront the assassin who shot you with a poisoned arrow in Paradis. There are a few dialogue directions you can take, but you'll ultimately be faced with the choice to forgive him and let him go, convince him to turn himself in, or fight him. All three options provide distinct rewards and consequences in the coming journey through the Living Lands, and it's useful to know what's going to happen later down the road as a result of your decisions here.

Either way, once you make your way through the cistern, you'll eventually find yourself face to face with Ygwulf, who is surprised to see you given your previous state (i.e., dead).
Thalla the Taskmaster is among the first bosses you will face in Paradis as you explore Avowed's Living Lands. Here's how to beat him.
Hear him out, and he'll explain that he saw you in a dream and interpreted that as a sign to murder you in order to save Paradis from the Aedyrans. As it turns out, that was a bad read, but he takes the fact you are still alive
