Shenmue 3 Publisher Wants to Know if You Want to See the Game on Xbox or Switch
In November, publishing rights for Shenmue 3 changed hands from Deep Silver to ININ Games, following which the new publisher teased upcoming announcements. Now, a new survey by the company might be hinting at what those announcements could entail.
Taking to Twitter, ININ Games recently shared a new survey that asks questions related to Shenmue 3. The survey is a brief one, though notably, one of the questions asks if players would be interested in seeing the game on Xbox Series X/S or Nintendo Switch. Other platforms that the game isn’t mentioned on – PS5 and Mac – are also mentioned.
“We have prepared a quick survey with a couple questions onShenmue 3. Please consider filling it out if you’re a fan of Ryo’s antics or just familiar with the game. Your feedback will be invaluable to us, as always!” ININ Games wrote on Twitter.
Shenmue 3 is currently only available on PS4 and PC, so given the fact that ININ Games only has the publishing rights for the game and not the entire franchise, one would assume it’ll only be a matter of time before ports are announced. Of course, on the Nintendo front, it should be interesting to see whether the game also releases for the inevitable Switch 2, or whatever Nintendo ends up calling its next-gen console.
