A small team is working on it now.

Sabotage Studios is currently working on DLC for its retro-inspired RPG, Sea of Stars. It's titled, «Throes of the Watchmaker» and aims to tie together the narrative between it and its side-scrolling sequel, the Messenger. The games are loosely connected as they take place in the same universe thousands of years apart.
In an interview with Radio Times, Sea of Stars director Thierry Boulanger provided an update that a small team is currently handling the story DLC while another team is on an entirely different project. The DLC was already promised as part of the game's Kickstarter campaign stretch goals, and its purpose is to expand the world of Sea of Stars and insight for the overarching narrative across all of Sabotage Studios' games.
