A piece of WandaVision concept art reveals an alternate MCU Phase 4 Scarlet Witch costume design for the final episode. The Marvel Studios Disney+ series became the first of its kind upon its release in January 2021, jumping over The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's intended debut due to the latter's pandemic-related production delays. The nine-episode show was a massive hit with both critics and audiences, generating a ton of online chatter and ultimately winning three of 23 Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
In its exploration of Wanda Maximoff's profound grief following the death of Vision, one of the show's key narrative arcs was the superhero's development into a full-fledged Scarlet Witch. While connected to the Mind Stone, Wanda's powers had always come to her intuitively, and her limited understanding of them kept her from achieving her full potential. Thanks to series villain and witch Agatha Harkness, however, she learns that she wields a unique form of chaos magic, and she finally comes into her own during their final battle in WandaVision episode 9.

This transformation came with a costume change, and it turns out the version that made it into the series was not the only option. In honor of the anniversary of the WandaVision finale's airing, MCU concept artist Andy Park shares an alternate version of the Phase 4 Scarlet Witch costume, which comes complete with a full-length cape.
