Scarlet Witch's Darkhold in WandaVision nearly had a connection to Thor. While most of the Disney+ series was shrouded in mystery and a quirky sitcom style, the final episodes of WandaVision evolved into a more standard Marvel Cinematic Universe entry. This included diving deeper into the magical aspects of Scarlet Witch and Agatha Harkness. One of the key reveals to come during this section of the show was Agatha possessing the Darkhold, an ancient dark magic book that contained information about Scarlet Witch's destiny and her Chaos Magic. The Darkhold should, no doubt, be an important piece of the MCU's future.
While many fans wonder where the Darkhold came from and how it could be influencing Scarlet Witch heading into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, others took notice of the book's design. WandaVision's use of the Darkhold directly contradicted the look of the book when it was used in Agents of SHIELD and Runaways. This reignited debates about the MCU canonicity of the TV shows. Theories have suggested the new look could be the result of WandaVision's Darkhold being the original version of the book, as the design has an ancient magic quality to it. Surprisingly, it appears the book's cover almost linked it to the Thor franchise.
