The Hulk has always been close to the top in the list of Marvel's most powerful superheroes, but two new characters in MCU's Phase 4 are stronger than the green giant. Since Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings's post-credits scene, audiences have been wondering what exactly Bruce Banner's current status in the franchise is. Last seen in his Hulk form in Avengers: Endgame as «Smart Hulk,» Mark Ruffalo's character has been taking on a supporting character role in the post-Infinity Saga MCU.
Previously considered one of the most powerful Avengers — rivaled only by Thor — the Hulk saw many MCU characters get ahead of him in terms of their power levels. In addition to magic users like Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch, names like Thanos and Captain Marvel have surpassed the Hulk's strength. With new characters always being added to the franchise, the power scale in the MCU is always changing.

The arrival of both Rintrah and Zeus sets the Hulk two positions behind in the list of the MCU's most powerful characters. The minotaur trained in the mystical arts inspired by the work of poet William Blake known as Rintrah will appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and can be seen in the first official trailer for the film. Similar to the comics, Rintrah is likely to be an apprentice of Doctor Strange. The alien creature from the planet R'Vall has encountered the Hulk before in Incredible Hulk #370, and the magical minotaur has managed to knock out the green giant. Another character that surpasses the Hulk in hand-to-hand combat is Zeus, who will make his MCU debut in Thor: Love and Thunder. Marvel's version of the Greek god will be played by Russell
