A newly unveiled magazine cover promoting Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessfeatures several members of the film's highly anticipated character roster. After the success of the first Doctor Strange film, released in 2016, and the subsequent positivity towards the character's appearances in further Marvel films, a sequel was quickly greenlit and entered development. Like previous Phase Four entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the film is set to star many other Marvel characters alongside the titular sorcerer, continuing their stories from previous installments.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness takes place after the events of 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, following Strange as he is forced to delve deep into the multiverse in order to face a dangerous new foe alongside both old and new allies. The film features a star-studded cast including Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. After several delays, the film is finally set for a concrete release on May 6, 2022.

In a recent tweet from Empire magazine, the brand showcased their exclusive subscriber cover, illustrated to celebrate the film's upcoming release. Illustrated by immensely talented designer Chris Malbon, the cover features a large portion of the film's cast, including Strange himself in the center, Wanda Maximoff just below him in her pose from a recent trailer, and newcomer America Chavez utilizing multiverse-level powers of her own.
