Warning! MAJOR spoilers ahead for Savage Avengers #3
The final page of Savage Avengers revealed that Deathlok is in fact the re-animated corpse of Miles Morales, but this shocking twist is emblematic of Marvel's worst weakness.
The story kicks off when Deathlock arrives in the present with a directive to hunt down and eliminate Conan the Barbarian. Conan is displaced from the Hyborian Age, his native time period. After confronting Deathlok and being engaged by other heroes trying to protect him, like Daredevil and Anti-Venom, Conan and the entire group are transported back to his era. They are all separated and face tons of threats, including Devil Dinosaur, but they eventually come together and formulate a plan to get back home.

All of the Savage Avengers are hurt during the attack, including Deathlok, who is revealed to actually be the reanimated corpse of Miles Morales.
Although the twist is certainly shocking, it comes completely out of nowhere and highlights a problem with Marvel Comics. These Savage Avengers already have no connection to one another. They are strangers that are yet to have a moment to build up each other's characters. But Miles Morales is even further detached from all of them. And also, there has been no hint at all that this Deathlok has been Miles. The reveal comes completely out of left field and it seems as if Miles was thrown into the story
