Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has no shortage of costumes it can introduce. Given the growing popularity of Moon Knight, Arachknight would be fun to see. With Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man getting plenty of love after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 costume would also be a worthwhile inclusion. And, of course, there is the long-requested Symbiote suit to consider.
With a massive lineup of costumes sure to be present, especially with two playable Spider-Men being featured in the story, Insomniac should strive to make sure that a large chunk of the costumes have some narrative weight behind them. Though there will obviously be outfits so absurd that they have to be treated as bonus costumes, part of the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 costume lineup should be justified within the story.

Some of the Marvel’s Spider-Man series’ very best moments are suit related. In the original game, the creation of Peter’s Advanced Suit is treated as a big deal, with his first swing through the city being unforgettable. Another memorable suit moment comes at the end of the game when Peter designs the Anti-Ock Suit, a costume made out of the same material as Doctor Octopus’ tentacles.
This trend continues in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which has two strong suit moments of its own. The first is playable, as it sees Miles swinging through the snowy version of New York City in his very first costume, which was a crude design made by Peter. The other suit-related sequence comes later in the game, and it sees Miles crafting his own suit, with the iconic black and red colors making for a terrific design.
