Do you think money can buy you power? If yes, then the world's richest person Elon Musk might have a different opinion than you. An old video of Musk sharing his views on money and the economy recently resurfaced on the internet. The clip is taken from an interview given by Musk back in April. The Tesla chief himself commented on the post “YES” on the video implying that he stood by what he said a few months ago. In the clip, Musk can be seen saying that the money doesn't inherit any power but it's the goods and services that makes the world go round. He said, “People get confused sometimes when they think an economy is money. Money is a database for the exchange of goods & services. Money doesn't have power in and of itself. The actual economy is goods & services.”
The video has been shared by DogeDesigner on Twitter to which Musk replied “YES.”
The clip has gone viral with over 2 million views. While many agreed with Musk others have distinct points of view. The clip has left the internet divided in two sections.
Meanwhile, Musk has been making headlines for his $44 billion Twitter deal for quite a long time now. He announced to take over Twitter for $44 billion earlier this year in April, however, a few months later he backed out from the deal citing that Twitter has breached multiple provisions of the April 25 sale agreement — including Musk's request to share information about the number of fake and spam accounts on the social media platform.
Now, Twitter is trying to force the billionaire to complete his April deal as the company wants it to happen quickly because it says the ongoing dispute is harming its business.
As of now, Musk owns six companies, including Tesla and SpaceX.
