Alongside Rocket Lab is launching a small spy satellite for the US government and United Launch Alliance will be sending its sixth and last Space Based Infrared System Geosynchronous Earth Orbit satellite (SBIRS GEO 6) to space. American aerospace manufacturer and launch service provider Rocket Lab was scheduled to launch NROL-199 spy satellite for the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). This is a classified mission so the purpose of the satellite is not known. This launch has successfully taken place at 1 AM EDT (10:30 AM IST), according to a report by Space.com. ULA is conducting its sixth and last launch of the SBIRS GEO 6 satellite. The satellite being launched is for the Space Force's Space Systems Command and the launch will take place from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
