Based on the information that we have received, Samsung has finally started the development of One UI 7.0, which is going to be based on Android 15. A new firmware with version number S928BXXU2BXE2 is currently being tested by Samsung, and it is being tested for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. If you know Samsung firmware and how the company manages to handle version transitions, it is safe to spot that this is the next major One UI version. Now, do keep in mind that this firmware for the Galaxy S24 Ultra is still just test firmware, which is why we don't know exactly when this will come out. It cannot be just another One UI 6.1 update, so the next best guess is that it is actually an Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update. Now, the official beta program for One UI 6.0 was launched back in August 2023. So, it could mean that Samsung sticks to the same timeline or even goers for an earlier release, as indicated by this test firmware.
