Since 2019, the company has been trying hard to make sure that foldable phones have a spot in the market, and while it is true that they are not going to replace the S series of devices, it does not mean that they can't share a spot, and this year, the South Korean tech firm has some ambitious plans.
Now, based on the information received from @Tech_Reve, Samsung has already set a sales target for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5, and yes, it is an ambitious one because the tweet says that the company is planning on selling 15 million units this year.

The number is slightly ambitious, but what's even more ambitious is that it is 60% higher than last year. This means that the company is looking to sell way more foldable phones this year when compared to what it managed to do last year.
Now, I really don't blame Samsung. However, the one thing that you should know is that foldable phones are no longer just their specialty. Google just released the Pixel Fold, and it is already making waves despite not hitting the shelves, and we are probably going to see new offerings from other brands later this year. So, if the South Korean giant wants to make a dent, it will have to offer something unparalleled.
