Coca-Cola has teamed up with Riot Games to release a limited edition drink based on League of Legends that apparently tastes like experience points.
The new “+XP Flavored” drink is part of the Coca-Cola Creations line, which has previously seen collaborations with musical artists Marshmello and Rosalia.
The drink, which is called Coca-Cola Ultimate Zero Sugar, is available in the US, Canada, China, South Korea, Latin America and Africa.
A full-sugar version will also be made available in the US, Canada and Mexico.
According to a statement by Coke, the new drink will “provide fans and players the taste of experience points and celebrate every player’s journey – whether it’s their first time on the Rift or on the Finals stage at Worlds in pursuit of the Summoner’s Cup.”
Starting today, the League of Legends game will also be getting a series of missions which award players with limited edition ‘Ultimate’ emotes.
Players can also scan the QR code on their can to visit the Coca-Cola Creations Hub, where they can find the Ultimate Emote Generator, an Instagram filter that lets them view themselves in the style of League of Legends emotes.
In a statement, Coca-Cola’s senior director of global strategy Oana Vlad said: “This collaboration with Riot Games allows us to continue elevating the Coca-Cola Creations platform with a brand new flavour that reinforces our shared mission to put fans and players at the forefront of everything we do.
“Coca-Cola Ultimate, our seventh Coca-Cola Creation, carries an astonishing design, unlocks the taste of +XP for players on their journey and enhances their gameplay experience.”
