In this modern era of gaming, players can appreciate more than just the visuals, gameplay mechanics, story, or the love that's shown from the modding community when it comes to their favorite titles. Video game scores and soundtracks are just as important to an IP as the plot and overall enjoyment fans get from playing. With that in mind, it looks as though Facepunch Studios, the team behind the brutal online survival game Rust, has updated the game once more, and introduced a way for fans to download the music.
According to an official post on Steam, a new patch for Rust has been rolling out, which sees a lot of tweaks and quality of life changes being implemented, which all go a long way to ensuring the ongoing success of the game. Alongside that, the developer has also released the official soundtrack for it, which can be downloaded for an additional cost. A teaser video for it boasts 29 tracks, featuring more than an hour of «ambient music,» which not only comes from the game itself, but has also been taken from trailers, all of which has been composed by sound designer Alex Rehberg.
Leak Suggests Rust May Be Getting a Pets Update, Above Ground Railway System

One of the things that the studio has been working to improve is the lighting, which includes adding new lights and effects, as well as adding «darkening volumes» to the world's interior locations. There's also been some general QoL tweaks, such as large furnaces now providing heat and comfort, and cars decaying slower over time. The update also revamps the loading screen, which now shows server stats.
