RuneScape’s Necromancy season is welcoming an Ancient Awakening, with the arrival of the latest update. It's the first update for the necromancy season, complete with new storyline, returning characters, new player vs. monster mode, an expansion to Fort Forinthry, and much more to lead into upcoming content.
With theintroduction of Necromancy, RuneScape’s first new combat style ever, the team announced the addition would bring its own full season with it. Now, here we are. Ancient Awakening begins to explore more of the lore and origins of necromancy in a medium-length new quest.
Explore the island of Ungael, and the the Dragonkin Tomb, this time with a full adventuring party featuring familiar characters from last season, Fort Forthinry. Asther the butler, Bill, and The Raptor will be joining you to complete your tasks at hand. Those tasks center around a potentially devastating ritual that the necromancer Zemouregal is seeking to complete. If he is able to finish the ritual, there will be serious consequences for Gielinor.
So get in there and work to save the day again, until the next major threat. The team promises that this narrative and adventure will prepare you for a new boss battle coming in November. This update also adds something for the Skillers, as it expands Fort Forthinry with a new Botanist’s Bench. This will enable a way to produce necromancy potions for next month's upcoming boss fight.
Ancient Awakening also adds a new player versus monster combat activity mode in Ungael Arena. You'll get a chance to practice and demonstrate your necromancy combat skills, by taking on waves of Zemouregal’s minions. Every time you take on a run of this mode, the arena will change, adding some difficulty since
