Next week is pretty big for League of Legends fans, as Season 2024 of the long-running title kicks off on January 10, bringing with it a whole host of new content. To get fans hyped up for the new season, developer Riot Games has announced some of the changes and additions ahead of time, a lot of which are inspired by the Netflix series Arcane to celebrate the release of Season 2 this November.
For starters, Riot has revealed a sneak peek of Arcane Season 2 for us all to obsess over, including a mysterious image that you can check out above. In it, we can see a bunch of broken and worn-down machinery in a dark green room, along with an unknown individual sitting in a chair illuminated by the glow of a large monster hanging above them, hoisted by various chains and cables.

The trailer is more of a teaser, not giving away too many details at all. However, that final shot of the teaser does appear to reveal that Vander, who was presumed dead, is being turned into Warwick, a monster from the League of Legends games.
Most importantly, the teaser confirms that Arcane Season 2 is still set to launch on Netflix this November, although we're not given a release date more specific than that.
As for League of Legends itself, there are a bunch of new things coming that will probably excite Arcane fans, the biggest being the introduction of Ambessa Medarda, the no-nonsense powerful warlord and estranged mother of Mel Medarda. We don't know when she'll be coming to the Rift just yet, but Riot has promised that she'll be added at some point later this year.
