Amid rampant rumors of her departure from The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City, Mary Cosby is speaking out and insists that it's "a complete lie." Questions about the reality star's employment status (at least where Bravo is concerned) have been circulating ever since she decided to skip the season 2 reunion. In the Housewife world, this is a big no-no, and doing so has marked the end of some ladies' runs on their respective franchises. Adrienne Maloof and Lisa Vanderpump skipped The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunions and were not included in subsequent seasons. Some exceptions are made however, as in the cases of Luann de Lesseps and Kim Richards who were allowed to return after missing reunions due to dealing with substance abuse issues.
Rumors about Mary quitting or being fired were fueled primarily by her choice to forgo the reunion, a decision she made based on her belief that it was going to be "one-sided." Bravo chief Andy Cohen has consistently disapproved of skipping the annual wrap-up because it gives the other castmates the opportunity to create the final narrative and denies the absentee from addressing outstanding issues herself. In Mary's case, she had been embroiled in a storyline that had co-star Jennie Nguyen accusing her of racist comments, a topic she apparently did not wish to address further. In a strange twist, however, Jennie herself has since been fired for her own racially insensitive Facebook posts.
