Both Apple's iOS and Google's Android operating systems have an assisted calling feature that should resolve any country code issues automatically, but sometimes the country code is wrong, or more than one country code is dialed. This could be a problem with the carrier, the SIM, the phone settings, or even how a contact's phone number is saved. There are a few different solutions to incorrect country codes. The quick fix is to disable this feature on the iPhone or Android phone and manually dial the correct phone number. With an iPhone, the user can switch off 'Dial Assist' in the Settings app under the Phone tab. For Android, in Google's Phone app, check under 'More / Settings / Calls' and turn 'Assisted dialing off.'
